Homework Help:
Did you know that librarians are cool? Yeah we didn’t either. The first thing we learned was that you can rent video cameras…for whatever. Whether it be filming a basketball game, yourself, your roommate while she sleeps (whatever floats your boat), or something related to education, you can do it, cause its idiot proof.
But really, this is modern day stuff here at Foley. These librarians are available day and night (as long as it’s between the hours of 8-midnight Sunday through Thursday and till 9 pm on Fridays and 6 pm on Saturdays). Cause what else do you have to do in college on the weekends? And what if you just are too lazy to walk to the library? You can e-mail, call, or even IM your lovely librarian. But watch out for Mary, she likes to pick on freshman, but in reality she’s pretty cool.
Any questions A-Z, you can find the answers online…oh yeah. If that’s not enough, there are even study guide pamphlets to help you figure out anything about any given project for any given subject…at anytime.
Do you suck at writing papers? Guess what! Gonzaga’s prepared for that? The Writing Center is located on the main floor of Foley. No appointment necessary. Whether you’re a freshman or a grad student, they are there to help you make your paper awesome!
And to top it all off at Foley Library…they even have music online. Have a hankering for the German opera? Yeah it’s on there. Do you love listening to that Jewish traditional music…it’s on there! The possibilities are endless. Sorry guys, no Taylor Swift or Brittany Spears…we checked.
So go check out the awesome library it’s pretty epic. Just watch out for Mary.
This is where we want to talk about Class Matters and how it relates to libraries.
This article explains how Nigerian librarians are making a difference through expanding knowledge of technology and resources in their communities.
The article relates to the theme of education addressed in “Class Matters” because it discusses that by having an education you can further yourself and expand your knowledge. Education in third world countries gives the people empowerment because it gives them the resources they need to study and get good jobs. Through the resources of libraries, a transformation is taking place to create a higher literacy rate in Nigeria. Libraries are transforming the global society every day.

If you don’t know what that is, call the reference librarian and aks about getting an account. 313.5931)
