All the Way to Nepal…
The Nepalese article is about a program called READ that builds schools in impoverished areas such as Bahundanda.
There are a large number of American immigrants that are illiterate in the English Language. Many immigrants that are illiterate cannot hold a steady job in the U.S. In third world countries, like Nepal, education is even harder to obtain and jobs are very scarce; driving many to seek opportunities in industrialized countries. Unfortunately, once they get there, many people struggle to maintain a modest life-style. In the article, it explains how libraries are becoming more prevalent in third world countries. This is leading to a larger number of people becoming educated and seeking opportunities in their native land. Libraries provide many different tools to help one succeed. Education leads to success and in Nepal, or America, it is important for people to use the library to become more accustomed to gathering information and learning new ideas.
Good job. Love the video!
