Contacting a Librarian!!
Here are some helpful tips on how to get into contact with a Librarian from your dorm, or anywhere.
If you’re in your room and need help with a project or just need to talk to a Librarian you can go to the Foley Library section on the Gonzaga website and instant message a Librarian during the open hours. We tried it out and it’s super cool and super easy! Anybody can do it.
Or if you need some advice at 4 a.m., you can always use the chat with a librarian 24/7 using Chat Help online.
If you aren’t in a desperate need of assistance, the Email Help feature allows you to email a question to a GU librarian. All responses will be sent within 24 hours, except for weekends and holidays.
If speaking directly to a librarian is more you’re style, give them a call during open hours @ (509) 313-5931 or 1-800-498-5941
Then again, visiting the Library is always a good suggestion.
You can find all this information and more at The Library link on the Gonzaga website. Click on the Who We are and How to Contact Us link in the bottom right hand corner.

THE POPULAR COLLECTION:
A lot of us seem to never have free time but the day that that hour rolls around and you have nothing to do and cuddling up with a good book sounds good, you can come to the library to find the perfect novel for you. Some of the popular books can be found behind the reference desk on the first floor. These books include anything from mysteries by Stephen King to romance novels by Meg Cabot. The popular collection also includes audio books as well as DVD’s and VHS videos. When we explored the collection we also found memoirs and biographies as well as fiction and non-fiction novels. All of these books are either best sellers or popular in public and academic libraries across the world. Each month the librarians receive a list from which they choose the ones that would fit best here at GU. If some of the books don’t get checked out they are sent back and newer more popular books come in. The popular collection always has a variety of books that will please any reader.
Below is the information we discovered via internet about the theme of isolation in “Class Matters.” Click here for the full text.
Summary: According to New Jersey Jewish News and MetroWest HELPS, libraries offer free support groups to those out of work. During these difficult times libraries provide counselors and career coaches to help direct people for a fee.
This article relates to the theme of isolation because many people are out of work and in order to apply for jobs, the internet is essential. Without the library’s resources, the unemployed wouldn’t have equal opportunities. Those without access to the internet at home are able to work with experienced support groups to help them through their difficult times.
you should become a fan of foley center library on facebook and look at more pictures from your class.
